Diver Performing at the Indiana State Fair Injured

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (NETWORK INDIANA): A diver performing at the Indiana State Fair was injured Tuesday after falling from a diving board.

State Fair spokesman Andy Klotz says the diver was performing on the Sinbad High Dive show. He attempted to perform a handstand dive when he lost his balance and fell about 15 feet. Klotz says the diver suffered cuts to his hands and face. EMS crews responded and the diver was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Klotz says he doesn‘t know if the diver will return to the show. However, he says the show will continue during its run at the State Fair‘s Family Fun Park.
