Indianapolis Man Arrested for Stolen Vehicle, Drug Possession

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): One man is under arrest for a stolen vehicle and drug possession. Indiana Conservation Officers arrested Justin Petrowski, of Indianapolis, on felony charges of Receiving Stolen Auto Parts, Possession of Methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Failure to Stop after Accident Resulting in Damage. The investigation began on Tuesday when Illinois Police took a report from a Wal-Mart where Petrowski had allegedly stolen a vehicle. After talking to the man’s wife, they were led to Patoka Lake in Crawford County, where the man was likely hiding. The stolen vehicle was found Thursday morning at Patoka Lake. On Friday, just before 1:00 P.M., conservation officers found more clues and located Petrowski, who was armed with a stolen shotgun. Officer Dennis Talley reports, “there was a safe ending for all involved.” Petrowski is being held in the Crawford County Jail.
