Homeland Security Foundation Grant Open

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The application period for the Indiana Homeland Security Foundation Grant is now open through February 28th. The Foundation funds public safety projects at local levels. Qualified applicants include public safety organizations, like fire and police departments, emergency medical services, or emergency management agencies. Each can apply for grants up to $4,000.

The Foundation says that submissions should go along with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security strategy, which will be provided on the online application. Submissions should also focus on one or more of the following state-identified priority areas:

·         Sustainability of current capabilities

·         County emergency operations centers

·         Local and district planning initiatives

·         Ensuring the safety of fellow citizens of Indiana
