EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) – A southwestern Indiana man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for his role in the slaying of his girlfriend's estranged husband.
A Vanderburgh County judge also sentenced 19-year-old James Levi Mayhugh on Tuesday to a one-year sentence on a theft charge. Mayhugh had pleaded guilty to both charges in October.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports Mayhugh is the third and final person to be sentenced in the March 2012 killing of 42-year-old Keith Vaughn.
In December, a judge sentenced Vaughn's estranged wife, 23-year-old Megan Mecum, to 55 years in prison after a jury convicted her of murder, armed robbery and other charges in Vaughn's death.

Prosecutors said Mecum encouraged Mayhugh and his cousin to rob and kill Vaughn in his Evansville home.
