WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): A company based at the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette will get $640,000 from the federal government to search for early indicators of diseases.
 
The National Institutes of Health announced this week that it had awarded Tymora Analytical Operations a grant to study blood plasma for biomarkers that indicate various diseases.
 
Tymora President Anton Iliuk said that most major diseases have biomarkers that can be used to speed up a diagnosis.
 
The grant will be used to help researchers sort through proteins in blood plasma to discover the indicators.
