PERU, Ind. (AP): A north central Indiana police officer could face disciplinary action for accusing other officers of breaking the law.
 
The Peru Board of Works found Officer Fred Lloyd did not provide evidence supporting the allegations he raised during a meeting last month. The Kokomo Tribune reports Lloyd instead submitted more than 50 pages of timesheets, emails, newspaper articles and other seemingly unrelated material.
 
Lloyd failed to attend a meeting Wednesday to further discuss his allegations of criminal activity.
 
Mayor Jim Walker has asked interim Police Chief Rick Keller to determine whether the department's procedures require any action against Lloyd for making accusations of criminal activity at a public meeting.
 
Keller is expected to report his findings at the next Board of Works meeting on Nov. 3.
