UPDATE: Inmate Captured after Escaping Federal Prison in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WOWO): An inmate who escaped from a federal prison in Terre Haute has been captured.

61-year-old Michael Ward escaped from the minimum security prison with a government vehicle on Sunday.

Ward was found at the University of Illinois campus library. A campus officer noticed Ward acting suspicious with what appeared to be a prison-issued bag, according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

Ward is back in custody. He was serving a 10 year sentence for fraud.
