LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) – A Lafayette couple will serve more than three decades in prison for repeatedly molesting the woman's 8-year-old daughter for more than two years.

Elizabeth Carle and Cory DesAmo were sentenced Thursday after being convicted in February of all 11 counts against them. Carle received a 38-year sentence, while DesAmo was given a 50-year sentence.

The (Lafayette) Journal and Courier (http://on.jconline.com/1bTD7bS ) reports each of them will be required to serve about 85 percent of their sentence. Carle will spend at least 32 years in prison, and DesAmo will remain incarcerated for at least 50 years.

Both Carle and DesAmo were deemed sexually violent predators and offenders against children.

They plan to appeal.
