Evansville To Begin Demolition Of Burned-Out Warehouse

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says the demolition of a burned-out warehouse that's at the center of a city lawsuit is expected to take a month to complete.

Winnecke tells the Evansville Courier & Press (http://bit.ly/1haSdfQ ) the demolition is scheduled to begin Wednesday. The cost is expected to be about $82,000.

The warehouse was destroyed by fire in October and neighbors say it has become a dangerous attraction for children.

The city is suing the owners of the warehouse to try to recover the cost of demolishing the building.
