Henry Optimistic About Regional Cities Initiative

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The City of Fort Wayne has been lobbying hard to win a share of money from the state's Regional Cities Initiative. Mayor Tom Henry tells WOWO news he feels good about the city's chances:

“Obviously there are six or seven areas around the state vying for that money, but being involved in Government for as long as I have and knowing what's being looked at, I would say we stand a very, very good chance.”

The Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority unveiled a giant “Road to One Million” flag at Sweetwater Sound last Tuesday to help promote the effort. At stake are $42-million in matching funds.
