FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The reason why Cedar Canyon Elementary School teacher Chris Dodane was hit and killed by a semi will remain a mystery. 

The Allen County Coroner's Office could not determine Dodane's manner of death in their final report released Monday. 

They do acknowledge that the second grade teacher died of blunt force trauma on Interstate 469 on August 12th. His car had run off the roadway and down an embankment. He reportedly was hit after walking up the embankment to call for help. 

The school held a celebration in honor of Dodane this past Friday.
