Worker Struck, Killed by Train

AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): One person was killed after being struck by a train Friday morning in Auburn.

Authorities say around 11:25 a.m., the 54-year-old man attempted to cross the tracks on Auburn Drive, just west of Grandstaff.

The man, according to Auburn Police, was part of a crew working on the tracks.

Witnesses say he walked passed one train that was stopped, not aware another train was approaching.

The victim's name has not been released.
