Jury To Deliberate Washington’s Fate Starting Wednesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The defense and prosecution has rested in the murder trial of Jeremy Washington.

That means that closing arguments will be heard Wednesday and the jury will decide his fate afterwards.

He's accused of killing 17 year old Haley Nellum in March of 2014 by crashing into her vehicle while fleeing a shooting at a bar. Washington is charged with three counts of attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and a count of aggravated battery.

Washington's attorney says he was fleeing the bar because he thought men in an SUV were chasing him, but the prosecution thinks he had a role in the bar shooting.
