12:29 PM update: Fort Wayne police say the man who was shot was one of the invasion suspects. The other suspect is still at large.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A home invasion gone wrong left one man in the hospital and the other on the run this morning.

Police say two armed white men tried to force their way into a home on Guildford near South Wayne Avenue, where they were met by the homeowners inside, who were also armed. They opened fire, hitting one of the men and causing the other to flee the scene. The man who was shot is currently in critical condition; the homeowners weren't hurt.

 Police haven't yet released the names of anyone involved.
