Deputy City Clerk Says She’ll Restructure Office if Elected

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The woman who Fort Wayne's former City Clerk was allegedly campaigning for the office itself says she wants to make some changes if elected in November.

Deputy City Clerk Angie Davis emailed the Fort Wayne City Council before Tuesday night's meeting. Davis says in the email that, if elected on November 3rd, she'll install new ethics guidelines for her office staff and elected officials.

The Journal-Gazette is also reporting she would eliminate the assistant parking enforcement supervisor position and move a city Violation's Bureau position into the clerk's office. She says the plan would save the city $70,000.

She's running to succeed longtime clerk Sandy Kennedy, who resigned for health reasons…not long after allegedly getting caught campaigning for Davis in the clerk's office.
