FWCS Sets Public Hearing for Referendum

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You'll get a chance to sound off soon on a $130-million referendum planned for Fort Wayne Community Schools.

The school board set a December 14th date for a public hearing on the referendum, which is to keep momentum going on repair work planned for buildings throughout the school district. The Journal Gazette says school officials hope to have the referendum placed on the May 3rd ballot.

Meanwhile, at 5:30pm tonight, officials will meet with parents at Nebraska elementary, which is slated to close at the end of the school year.
