Wife allegedly stabs husband in Steuben County

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Just before 7:30 a.m Saturday, Steuben County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a domestic-related physical altercation that happened at a home on N. Ray Rd. in rural northeastern Steuben County. 

Once on the scene, officers found an injured man identified as 53-year-old Timothy Swager, of Fremont, who appeared to be suffering from an apparent stab wound. The investigation initially revealed that Swager had been allegedly stabbed with a knife by his wife, 56-year-old Deborah Swager. 

The victim was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital. His wife was later located in Fort Wayne, and taken in for questioning by police. She was then placed under arrest.

The incident remains under investigation.
