FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person was able to escape a house fire Thursday morning.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a fire in the 7100 block of Antibellum Blvd. at about 7:35 a.m., according to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

The fire department was able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes. The home has heavy fire, water and smoke damage.

The fire is still under investigation and it’s unknown if the house had a working smoke detector.
