Fort Wayne company receives DOD contract

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded more than $37-million to a Fort Wayne company.

Petroleum Traders Corp., which is located on Pointe Inverness Way, will receive $37.2-million to produce various types of fuel for the military, with work taking place in Indiana and nine other states, with a completion date of Halloween 2020.

Also, two companies in Indianapolis – Rolls-Royce Corp. and Allison Transmission inc. – are receiving a combined $35.8-million to make engines and transmissions for military equipment.

Two out-of-state companies have also received contracts with some of the work being performed in Indiana.
