ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A karaoke event raised big bucks for the Allen County SPCA.

Growl at the Moon, karaoke for a cause, raised $48,000. The funds will allow the SPCA to fed shelter dogs for a year, run two community vaccine clinics and facilitate adoptions, according to the Allen County SPCA.

“Launching a new event is always a risk, let alone a karaoke event.” Allen County SPCA Executive Director Jessica Henry said. “The fact that Growl was as successful as it was is a true testament to how committed our city is to helping animals in need.”

The SPCA thanked vendors, attendees, volunteers and supporters of the event in a newsletter.
