Indiana Homeland Security warns Hoosiers about changing weather

(Indiana)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A rapid change in weather is coming to Northeast Indiana. Are you ready?

With the potential for wind, rain, colder temperatures and possible flurries, officials with Indiana Homeland Security want to make sure Hoosiers are prepared for the changes.

“With the potential for winds and storms, watching the weather more closely makes sense,” said Director of Public Affairs for state homeland security John Erickson. “The leading edge of a weather system like this can be volatile. Don’t be caught unaware.”

Tune into the radio or use a weather app to stay up-to-date with changing weather.

Keep in mind, northern Indiana might be experiencing 35 mph winds this weekend. That may cause problems for vehicles like semis so consider giving yourself extra time for your weekend travels.
