FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to more than seven years in prison.

Sie Merriman, 36, was sentenced to 86 months in prison and one year of supervised release, according to a press release from United State Attorney David Capp released on Tuesday. 

He was charged with a felon in possession of a firearm. In December 2015, Merriman had a firearm, according to court documents. Merriman also has two previous convictions for forgery in Missouri.
