Fort Wayne ranked 89th in best cities for recreation

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – WalletHub ranked 2017’s best and worst cities for recreation, and Fort Wayne is ranked 89th overall.

This comes after the Trust for Public Land ranked Fort Wayne parks 98th earlier this year.

WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities in the U.S. across 44 key indicators of recreation-friendliness. Living costs, the quality of parks, the accessibility of entertainment and recreational facilities and weather were examined.

Fort Wayne ranked 64th in Entertainment and Recreational Facilities, 21st in Costs Rank, 87th in Quality of Parks Rank, and 96th in Weather Rank.

Fort Wayne also ranked fifth overall in the Lowest Bowling Costs behind Milwaukee, Colorado Springs, Buffalo and Wichita.

The top five ranked cities nationwide are Orlando, San Diego, Las Vegas, Tampa and Atlanta.
