FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are looking into a shooting last night that left a man in critical condition.

According to a press release, officers were called to an apartment on Spy Run Avenue, two blocks south of East 4th Street, at about 9:10pm Thursday and found a white man down inside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital.

Investigators say apparently several people were in the apartment cleaning firearms when one of the guns went off.

Police and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office are both still investigating, and all of the witnesses that were present at the time of the shooting are being interviewed.
