February Employment Report for Indiana shows new lows

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana’s unemployment rate continues to stand atop the rest of the country.

According to the February report for the Hoosier state, the unemployment rate sits at 3.2 percent, which is almost an entire percentage point lower than the national rate(4.1 percent). With the only exception being October 2014 when the unemployment rate was equal with the rest of the country, Indiana’s unemployment rate has now sat below the rest of the United States for more than four years.

In addition to those numbers, Indiana also saw a net increase over the last month of 2,495, which resulted in 2,243 unemployed Hoosiers no longer seeking employment.
