One man dead after early Saturday morning crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash just after 1:00 a.m. early Saturday morning on the 8000 Block of County Road 64.  Officers found a 2002 Chevy Cavalier that had went off of the road, struck a ditch and traveled several hundred feet before coming to a stop.   The driver of the vehicle was killed.  Speed is believed to be a factor and the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.  The driver’s name is being withheld until the family has been notified.  The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department, Southeast Fire, Noels Towing and the Dekalb County Coroner’s officer all responded to the crash.
