FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A water main break is causing traffic tie-ups on Wells Street between Franke Park Drive and Fernhill Avenue.

City Utilities reports vehicles heading southbound on Wells Street are being routed into the center turn lane. Northbound drivers will stay in their regular northbound lane.

Crews are expected to continue working on the 12-inch cast iron pipe into the evening hours, so avoid the area if possible.

The pipe was installed in 1959.
