Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana, 2013

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Roughly 100 World War II veterans are in Washington, D.C. today for the 11th Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.

They took off around 8:00 a.m. this morning and WOWO's Pat Miller is along for the day.

“It’s a full day, it’s a long day, but it’s a day that historically, on the previous flights, has always meant so much to these veterans, these people who served so freely so long ago. Today it’s flight 11 and I’m just trilled to be apart of it and I’m glad to be here.”

The group will be returning to Fort Wayne International Airport around 8:30pm.

Pat is also going to talk about the trip Thursday on the Pat Miller program from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
