FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): Steve Yager, Superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools has announced that will be retiring next year. Yager has overseen the district since 2009, after spending 19 years as the superintendent of Northwest Allen County Schools.

The school board announced that his replacement will be assistant superintendent Phillip Downs, who will take over for Yager in July of next year.
