Accused Kosciusko County Murder Requests Change of Venue

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): Attorneys for suspected murderer Brandon Woody have requested a change of venue for Woody’s jury trial…

His defense argues that Woody could not receive a fair trial in Kosciusko County due to the public's pre-conceived bias, due, in part, to the extensive amount of news coverage detailing the double murder of Joshua Knisley and Tara Thornburg on February 19th of last year.

According to court documents, Woody, Thomas Hursey and Kyle Dehart went to Thornburg's house with the intention of stealing marijuana and, that, during the encounter, Woody then struck Thornburg in the face with the gun and then shot her.

A decision on the possible change of venue is expected by mid-January. As it stands now, Woody's trial is scheduled for late April.
