Albion Food Pantry Damaged in Fire

ALBION, Ind. (WOWO): A Noble County food pantry was damaged after a fire yesterday.

Fire ignited in an upstairs apartment at the building in Albion just afternoon. That forced the ceiling to collapse and close the Central Noble Food Pantry. The pantry serves about 60 to 80 people per week. Most of the damage was in the back of the building.

Bonnie Brownell runs the community food bank and says they lost as much as one-half of their food supply.

Officials say hope to gather enough donations to open a temporary food bank Friday afternoon at the Town Hall. If you want to help, contact Bonnie Brownell at 260.564.8160 or email her at gmbb1@hotmail.com
