All US 52 Lanes Reopened After Semitrailer Overturns

COLFAX, Ind. (AP) _ All lanes of a central Indiana highway being used as an Interstate 65 detour have reopened after a semitrailer overturned, causing traffic to back up for more than a mile.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Department says all lanes of U.S. 52 near the town of Colfax had reopened by 11:30 a.m., or about five hours after the crash closed the northbound lanes.

It says the southbound lanes later were closed while the overturned semitrailer was placed upright.

WLFI-TV reports one person was transported to a hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The emergency closure of an I-65 bridge has caused northbound traffic to be detoured onto U.S. 52 for the past three weeks.
