FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The coroner’s office identified the woman who was found dead inside an apartment on Monday morning.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said Joyce A. Shebish, 54, of Fort Wayne was found dead after a small fire.

The coroner’s office doesn’t know the manner of death and it is still pending further information.

At about 9:20 a.m. Monday, crews were called to the 900 block of Tennessee Avenue on reports of an apartment fire.

Firefighters found Shebish dead inside the apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
