FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Allen County’s two major healthcare providers top the list of the county’s top employers.
In data provided by Purdue Fort Wayne’s Community Research Institute, Parkview Health and the Lutheran Health Network employ a combined 12,626 people in Allen County.
Rounding out the top 5 are Fort Wayne Community Schools with just under 4,000 employees, General Motors with 3,900, and Lincoln Financial Group with nearly 2,000.
Retailers and restaurants were left off the list.
