ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) _ A northeastern Indiana businessman has been ordered to repay more than $240,000 to a manufacturing company for forging signatures on deliveries of thousands of pallets that hadn’t been ordered.

             A Steuben County judge also sentenced 47-year-old Michael Houtz of Pleasant Lake to three years of community corrections after Houtz pleaded guilty Monday to forgery charges.

             The Herald Republican reports Houtz was arrested in 2010 after an audit by Group Dekko of Garrett found that Houtz’s pallet company had submitted invoices for materials that had not been ordered.

             Court records say 22 forged invoices from H&H Pallet were found for about 14,000 pallets.
