Animals Rescued from Fire on West Fourth Street

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two dogs were rescued from a house fire on West Fourth Street early Saturday morning.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, firefighters arrived to the house around 2:34 a.m. and soon, had the fire under control.

The home suffered heavy smoke and water damage. The owners of the home were out of town but their two dogs were still inside.

Firefighters were able to get the dogs out safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
