Anthony Bridge to Open Today

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A major bridge project will officially end this afternoon.

City officials will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. to open the Anthony Boulevard Bridge over Maumee River. That's just east of downtown.

The span has been closed since September as crews fortify the bridge for heavier loads.

It's also undergone some cosmetic changes, including adding a bike lane and pedestrian walkway. The total project cost about two million dollars.
