Auburn police search for suspects accused of stealing walker from Walmart

AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): Auburn police identified two people who were accused of stealing a walker from a woman at Walmart.

At about 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, two people took a walker from the Auburn Walmart. The owner of the walker had placed it near the inside door of Walmart when she was shopping. When she returned, it was gone, according to the Auburn Police Department.

Police asked for the public’s help identifying the people involved. Within two hours, police received multiple calls and the people were identified.

The case has been resolved and the victim will receive a new walker by the end of the day Monday.

“The public’s help in this matter is just one more example why Auburn and DeKalb County is such a great place to live and work,” Chief of Police Marin D. McCoy said.
