Ball State students relive Sean White’s historic gold metal

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Sean White’s final run last night on the men’s snowboard halfpipe made history for the country he was representing.

The United States captured their 100th Olympic gold medal in team history last night when White received a 97.75 on his final run to secure the top prize. Ball State students, who have been in South Korea covering the Winter Games, were there to witness White make U.S. history, and one student attempted putting the moment into words.

Listen every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to Fort Wayne’s Morning News as coverage live from the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics from Ball State students continues until February 25.
