Banks calls Summit “Just the start”

FORT WAYNE, Ind., (WOWO): Congressman Jim Banks started his conversation with Charly Butcher on WOWO  by calling the Summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un historic. The President and the leader of North Korea signed a document last night that indicates the start of the de-nuclearization process of the Korean peninsula.

The third district congressman says although most of what was signed is recycled language, it is just the beginning of a long negotiation that he is hopeful will lead to a “full and verifiable” de-nuclearization.

Congressman Banks stated that President Trump is, “a tougher negotiator than the regime in North Korea has dealt with before,” and that, “we’ve lost nothing in this agreement.”
