Police Suspect Incendiary Device in Deadly South Bend Fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) – Police in South Bend say they suspect a Molotov cocktail was thrown into a home, starting a fire that left one man dead and three other people injured.

Lt. Dave Wells says 49-year-old Robert Tucker died Wednesday evening after suffering severe burns in the Tuesday night fire. St. Joseph County authorities say they believe someone through a Molotov cocktail or similar incendiary device into the home. 

The other three victims suffered burns and smoke inhalation. They are expected to survive.

Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
