Barricaded Suspect in Custody

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police got a call just before 2:00 A.M., Tuesday to check out a domestic disturbance at a home on Princeton Avenue. Once they arrived they were able to make contact with a woman inside, officers then learned that there was also a man inside, with a gun.  

According to police, the suspect was reported to be suicidal and made threats to harm others. Officers set up a perimeter around the residence and called in backup as they attempted to contact the suspect.

Finally, the Allen County SWAT Team took the suspect into custody after he was found hiding inside. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

As of right now, there are no criminal charges at this time.
