HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident that severely injured 7-year-old Jaxin Phelps.

The accident happened in Howard County Wednesday night. Phelps, of Russiaville was injured when the vehicle he was a passenger on overturned, pinning him underneath.

He was airlifted to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, where he underwent surgery to repair injuries to his lower left leg.
