BREAKING: IPFW Issues Campus Alert About Man Spotted with A Gun

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, IPFW officials issued a campus wide alert about a white man being spotted on campus with a gun. He was last seen in a  sliver 4-door vehicle in Lot 11. The vehicle is no longer in the parking lot, but campus police are investigating. The following is the alert issued by IPFW officials: 

Campus Alert: Around 12:30 p.m., University Police received a report of a white male (age 26-27, brown hair) in an older, silver, 4-door vehicle seen in Lot 11 with a handgun. The vehicle has since left. The weapon was displayed, but not pointed at anyone or discharged. The IPFW Police Department is investigating.


Update: While PD continue to investigate the report, campus is safe to move about and classes are running as scheduled.

 


The following is an alert issued by the IPFW Police Department: 


Alert issued regarding a weapon seen in a vehicle in Lot #11. The vehicle has left the area and UPD continues investigating. The weapon was displayed, but not pointed at anyone or discharged. Vehicle is described as an older model silver 4-door and driver is a white male with brown hair approximately 26-27 years old.
