FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A candidate for City Clerk has withdrawn from the race.

Democratic candidate Brian Thornton has withdrawn from the May 5th primary ballot, according to the News-Sentinel.

Thornton dropped his candidacy and thanked his supporters, including Chief Deputy Clerk Angie Davis and Wayne Township Assessor Bev Zuber.
