A close call for a driver traveling on Jefferson Boulevard this afternoon; according to our partners in news at 21 Alive, a car was driving westbound on Jefferson when a semi-tractor trailer turned onto West Main Street in front of the car. The driver of the car couldn’t stop and collided with the semi-trailer, becoming wedged underneath.

The driver of the car was taken to an area hospital and is said to be in fair condition. The semi-driver was not injured.
