FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Police are investigating a scene near Johnny Appleseed Park, where it looks like a stolen vehicle may have been ditched. A diving team was called out after someone reported seeing a car in the water. The team investigated and didn’t think the car was occupied. Police who responded ran the license plate, which was still above the water line and visible. The plate came back associated with a stolen vehicle.

Police continue their investigation.
