Car, tow truck destroyed in crash with train

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Two vehicles were destroyed after a car broke down on a set of train tracks in DeKalb County Tuesday night.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the railroad tracks in the 6000 block of State Road 101 at about 8pm for a disabled vehicle.

A wrecker service was called in and tried to remove the car, but wasn’t able to do so before a train came through, slamming into the tow truck. Both it, and the car, were totaled in the crash.

Nobody was hurt.
