Chrysler Plant to be Dedicated in Tipton

TIPTON, Ind. (WOWO): A big day for Central Indiana.

Officials with Chrysler along with state and local leaders will dedicate a new plant in Tipton Tuesday. 

The automaker announced last year, it was spending $162 million to build an additional plant for its nine-speed transmission.

The Tipton County plant is expected to create as many as 850 new jobs.
