Community Harvest Receives $75,000 grant from Wal-Mart

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A grant from Wal-Mart will allow Community Harvest to buy a 53-foot refrigerated truck. Through a $75,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation, the food bank will now be able to quadruple its ability to move fresh produce and food to hungry families in Northeast Indiana. In 2010, Wal-Mart and the Wal-Mart Foundation launched “Fighting Hunger Together,” a $2 billion cash and in-kind commitment through 2015 to fight hunger in America.
